New glass for sliding patio doors, storm doors and entry sidelights, with matching hardware checks.
Patio doors and storm doors take hits from balls, pets, wind and everyday traffic, and their big panes of glass are easy to crack. Replacing the glass is often much faster than replacing a door, and it brings back a clear view and a secure door. Patio doors are heavy, so they need to be handled carefully and set in the frame with the right setting blocks.
We measure the glass and look at the door, the track, the rollers and the frame. We match the thickness and type, whether single pane, double pane or tempered. We lift out the damaged glass, install the new unit with setting blocks and new glazing and test the door for smooth operation. For storm doors, we also check the closer and the screen or glass inserts.
Patio door glass is often tempered and has a specific thickness. We match it so the door closes properly and meets safety needs.
Large patio panels are heavy. We use lifters and set them on blocks to protect the door and the glass.
A sticky track or worn rollers can cause breakage. We check the door while we replace the glass.
We replace the glass panel or the insert in storm doors, and we can add a new screen if needed.
