Thick tempered or back-painted glass for bars, vanities and counters, with polished edges.
Glass can make a countertop, a vanity top or a bar top that looks like a piece of furniture. Thick tempered glass over a base, back-painted glass in a solid color and textured or backlit designs all work in the right setting. Because a glass top is heavy and visible, the support, the edge and the glass thickness matter.
We measure the cabinet or base, discuss how the top will be used and recommend a thickness and edge. We design cutouts for sinks and fixtures and fabricate the glass to those dimensions. We mount the top on supports or an adhesive layer, with pads so it does not scratch the base. We explain care so heat, impacts and cleaners do not harm the glass. A glass top is part furniture and part surface, so we take time to review edge profiles, corner radii and the look of the glass from the side, where its thickness shows. We bring samples so you can see and touch the finished edge before anything is cut.
Counter-height glass needs thickness and support suited to its span and use. We recommend based on the design.
Polished flat edges and rounded corners are common. Beveled edges add detail, and we show samples.
Sinks, faucets and fixtures need cutouts planned and made before tempering.
